The Working with Children Act 2005 (Act) helps to protect children from sexual or physical harm by requiring a person who does 'child-related work' to apply for a Working With Children's Check (WWCC). The person's criminal record is then screened for serious sexual, violent and drug offences as well as findings made by certain professional disciplinary bodies (ref: Department of Justices WWC Information Sheet).

The Moorabbin Tigers as a member of SBA require all Coaches, Team Managers and Committee members 18 years and over to have a WWCC.

The Committee would like to encourage all other adults who help out at the Club to obtain a WWCC, it is a free check for volunteers & only supports our commitment to our players.

The SBA has engaged Everproof as a database management system to manage compliance documentation of its members. Both Team Managers and Coaches (Game day and Training) are required to be compliant.

If you are a TM or Coach you should have received an email from Everproof that the following on-line courses are required to be completed. Please ensure you action the following at your earliest convenience:

1. Online training course from 
- Child Protection course
- Harassment and Discrimination course

On completion of these courses, a copy of your Certificate of Compliance is to be uploaded/entered into your Everproof Account.

2. Upload your current Working With Children Check details into your Everproof account. The Working With Children Check is not required if you are under 18 years of age.

3. Member Protection Declaration - to be completed and uploaded in Everproof. "Member protection by-law" pdf can be found on SBA website:
